Help Balto Battle Parvo

We first need to cover the night in the hospital, and will update the amount as soon as our vet sends us the estimate.

Hi All! We are excited to say that thanks to you all we did it!
We managed to cover Balto's first night stay at the emergency veterinarian!

We promised his family that we would cover the night to give Balto his best chance at making it. And told them that if they couldn't afford the rest of the treatment that we would gladly take Balto into our rescue. Luckily, we were just the break they needed. Giving them the night of knowing Balto was in the best hands possible and giving them a chance to breathe and take everything in also gave them the time to pool resources and come up with the money to pay the rest of the bill.

We have talked with the family at length and feel that his family is an amazingly dedicated home for Balto. They have visited him every day at the emergency hospital and have called daily to check in too. They are super thankful that we have given them the chance to help Balto and keep him in their family.

They have also promised enthusiastically to bring Balto to Colleen's group training classes so we can help coach them through the tough parts of puppyhood and ensure that Balto gets all the training and socialization he needs to be an awesome K9 citizen.

Balto still isn't out of the woods, he is still not eating on his own and is being force-fed, so he still has at least a few more days at the emergency vet. We will keep updating on Balto's condition and if something happens and he for some reason takes a turn for the worse and we need to step in again, we will let our wonderful supporters know and start fundraising again for his care.

We want to thank you all so much for your support of puppy Balto and his family! This is why we do what we do, and cases like these are why Colleen founded this rescue in the first place.

Goal: $440

🐾 EMERGENCY CASE! 🐾

8 week old Belgian Malinois puppy Balto was just diagnosed with Parvo! His owner cannot afford treatment. So we stepped in to give poor Balto the best chance possible.

We have had Balto moved to our vet who is on call for the night as luck would have it. He will be getting treatment for the night while his owner decides what is best for the pup. We have told him that we will take Balto into our rescue and ensure he gets all care needed, but he wasn't ready to give him to rescue so we said we would pay for the night so Balto could start treatment ASAP.
