Rebel the Abandoned Black Lab in Apple Valley

UPDATE: Renamed Rebel, because he refused to give up when everyone gave up on him.  Rebel is now safe with us and will soon be looking for his forever home.

We do need help with his care though... His initial vet visit cost us $72 for vaccines and a microchip.

He is now in boarding getting great care, but the cost adds up. It's $15 dollars a day, which will be $450 for the month.  We hope to have found him a forever home by then.  Please consider donating to show Rebel the support and love he deserves.

His original owner went to jail and abandoned him.  The roommate continued for feed him for the next about year and a half.  Around February 6th, the roommate moved out.  The neighbors were feeding him every other day, but the neighbors shortly moved out as well and we had no way of knowing if he even had access to food.  He was alone on the property for 2 weeks.  We drove out to the address after seeing a plea for him posted on January 23rd about how he would be left alone and when I contacted the poster is when we found out he was already alone.  He was very timid, but quickly won over by chicken nuggets and we were able to get him in the car.  He has been living as an outside dog on a very large property where he roamed between the two houses.  He very very easily could have left the property, as it wasn’t fenced in, but diligently stayed even when everyone abandoned him.  He is a very sweet boy who just loves attention.
